YQR Haunts Guide to the Ghosts of Regina.

Hunting for Regina’s Most Haunted.

By K.D. Kulpa

Editor’s Note: We have often told the tale of James Strathdee, the man from Scotland who was involved in the creation of the Strathdee Building from the rubble of the Regina Cyclone. Following his violent death, it is his ghost who is said to haunt this grand old warehouse including your Bushwakker! Click the link below to read K.D.’s stories of various Regina hauntings including the ghost of James Strathdee. Happy Hallowe’en!

Many have asked how I fell into paranormal research as a hobby. Like others, I’m curious about the unknown – about that life question of what happens after life? Although I feel like the ghosts have chosen me to tell their stories. After growing up in a haunted house in Nipawin, Saskatchewan, I’ve always known the paranormal exists. Those bumps and footsteps in the night, unexplained voices, cold spots – they all could be linked to someone trying to get their message through the veil. What could that message be? A warning? A dislike for the unfamiliar changes to the past occupant’s surroundings? Maybe even just a joke being played by someone that misses a good laugh with a friend? Through my quest to learn more about the paranormal and experience hauntings first-hand, I have met many people that have a similar interest, some would even call it their passion. Many that I’ve met along the way have asked me to write an ebook (or rather a book, but maybe that can come someday in the future …) about some of the haunted buildings and ghosts I’ve met within the boundaries of Regina. Although there are many more buildings and ghosts that I’d love to include, here are a few of my favourites.

If you have a haunted building that you’d like me to visit, or maybe you have an unexplained experience you’d like to share from one of these locations, feel free to send me a message! I’m always happy to talk about ghosts, tour buildings, or capture evidence to find out the story the ghosts are trying to tell you. Enjoy the ebook. Note that not all of these locations allow paranormal tours, but they have agreed to be in the ebook so that I may tell the history of the buildings and the stories of their ghosts.

TIME OUT

MORE SCOTCH WHISKEY WOES

A man walks into a bar and drinks ten straight double whiskies one after the other. Suddenly he keels over rubbing his stomach head bowed, barman says to the man, ‘What’s the matter?’ Man says, ‘I shouldn’t have drank that whisky with what I’ve got’, barman says, ‘Why? What have you got?’ Man says, “$2.00”

What kind of whisky does a bunny drink? Hop Scotch!

I can walk on water but I just kind of stumble on whisky.

“I’m starting a new job!”  “What sort of job?”  “I’m an expert egg beater.”  “That’s a whisky business!”

What did Batman give Doctor Freeze with his whisky? Just ice.

Our sold out Bushwakker Single Malt Scotch Tasting is coming up on November 18th. All six featured whiskies are one-time or commemorative cask strength releases!
