BREWERY “HOPP”ENINGS! Bushwakker Head brewer, Michael Gaetz, reports that our seasonally available GRANNY’S BITTER, KAI’S MUNICH HELLES, HONEY THISTLE WIT, BOMBAY IPA and TANGERINE DREAM FRUIT and are currently available. Our FLEK’S CZECH DARK LAGER is currently working its way through the brewery.

 

There is still plenty of summer deck sippin’ time left in Saskatchewan! Our offsale cooler is loaded with a huge selection of cool Bushwakker brews. Swing by and build your own mixed six-pack. We have something for everyone!

AUGUST PREMIUM WINE FEATURES: This month’s wine features are the WAKEFIELD CLARE VALLEY WINES from Southern Australia. The red wine is their CABERNET SAUVIGNON and the white wine is their DRY RIESLING. Both are $8.95 for a glass and $23.95 for a half litre.

Of the seven wins we recently received in the 2023 Best of Food Regina Awards, the BEST PUB FOR A DATE NIGHT IN REGINA award was a pretty cool one. When we first opened our doors 32 years ago, our then general manager was Bushwakker co-founder, Elaine Robertson. It was extremely important to Elaine that Bushwakker would be a gathering place where everyone was welcome and would feel comfortable – especially women. Elaine worked hard to foster an environment where women could come alone or in a group and not have to worry about being approached by any unwanted male suitors. That being said, we see many couples young and old who choose The Bushwakker as the place for uninterrupted conversation free of loud background music and blaring television sets. Our 109 year old warehouse atmosphere creates the perfect casual setting to connect with someone new or reconnect with a friend, spouse or old flame! Thank you for 32 years of enthusiastic support!

CURRENT HOURS OF OPERATION AND RESERVATIONS NOTES

We are open Monday – Thursday from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM. The kitchen closes at 9:00 PM and last call is at 9:15 PM. Fridays and Saturdays we are open from 11:00 AM until midnight. The kitchen is open until 11:00 PM and last call is at 11:15 PM. Closed Sundays.

Reservations are accepted and encouraged. We accept a limited number of reservations as late as 6:00 PM every day except Fridays. Fridays we accept reservations as late as 3:00 PM. TIME OUT 

On a lazy August Friday a Doctor in St John’s, Newfoundland wanted to take the day off work and go fishing, so he approached his janitor Buddy for a favour. “I am going fishin’ tomorrow

Buddy and can’t close the clinic. I want you to sit in my office and talk to of any patients who wander in.  If they are real sick send them to the hospital.  If you can do that I’ll give you fifty bucks.”

“Yes, sir Doc!” answers Buddy.

The Doctor then goes fishing and returns the following day asking: “So,

Buddy, how went the day?”

Buddy told him that he took care of three patients. “The first one had a headache so I gave him Tylenol.”

“Bravo Buddy! The second one?” asks the doctor.

“The second one had a bad stomach so I gives him Pepto, sir.” says Buddy

“Excellent choice! You’re good at this Buddy, so what about the third patient?” asks the Doctor.

“Well Doc, I was sitting here having a smoke and suddenly the door flies opens, and a gorgeous lady came into the office all panicked. Like a whirlwind, she undresses herself, taking off every last stich including her bra and her panties and lies down on the table and shouts: “HELP ME! – I haven’t seen the loving eyes of a real man in over ten years.”

“Lord tunderin’ Jeezus, Buddy!!! What did you do?”

“The only things that I could do. I puts drops in her eyes!
