We appreciate your business very much! Due to our greatly reduced seating capacity, we ask that customers limit their dining time so as many people as possible can comfortably enjoy our Real Saskatchewan Brewpub Experience, especially if we have a line-up! Thank you for your co-operation and support.
We are very appreciative of the considerable increase in the number of our takeout food orders. Every little bit helps during these challenging times. Because we do not have many tables to spare for customers to use while they wait for their takeout orders, we kindly ask you place your orders ahead of time by calling us at 306-359-7276 so that we can have your order ready upon your arrival. We have added additional waiting spaces in our back common area. Just stand on a red “X” and we will bring your takeout order to you as soon as it is ready. We also can provide curbside pickup. Just let us know when you will be arriving at out back door and we’ll run it out to you.
We ask that our customers do not alter the position of our tables. We are required by the Saskatchewan Health Authority to have our tables placed three meters apart. We have measured the correct spacing so that we can maximize the numbers of tables present while complying with this health order. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
Reservations are accepted and encouraged. We accept limited reservations as late as 6:00 PM from Monday to Saturday. Call at 306-359-7276 to secure your table. Please note under the current provincial guidelines the maximum number of people who can be seated at the same table is limited to four. Larger reservations must occupy more than one table and maintain three meters of physical distancing between each table. These measures will loosen up as the province enters into Phase One of the 2021 Reopening Roadmap Plan.
Please continue to practice safe health and social distancing practices. Remain connected to one another and to us! In addition to this weekly newsletter, we are very active on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Check-in with us often as we navigate these continually evolving times together. Try to support local businesses whenever possible. Be vigilant in your resolve to protect yourselves which in turn will protect others. Please don’t let your guard DOWN so the province can open back UP!
Regina Restaurants Allowed to Reopen for In-Person Dining May 17th
Brendan Ellis CTV News
REGINA — Regina restaurants will be allowed to reopen for in-person dining on May 17.
In a release, the Government of Saskatchewan said restaurants in the Queen City will be subject to the in-person dining guidelines currently in place province-wide.
“Now that we have moved past some very high numbers were in Regina and they’re stabilizing, plus our vaccines that are rolling out, we thought it was a good opportunity for them to be able to look at the 17 of May, and be able to figure out ‘okay what do I need to do for ordering food, logistics, staffing up?’” Minister of Health Paul Merriman said.
Capacity at a single table will be limited to four people. Indoor tables with physical barriers between them must be two metres apart, while tables without barriers have to be placed three metres apart.
For outdoor dining, there must be a two metre distance between tables, with or without barriers.
Alcohol sales will be allowed up until 10 p.m.
Restaurants also must continue to record information for all customers, for contact tracing purposes.
The province said all other measures and public health orders remain in place.
Minister of Trade and Export Development Jeremy Harrison said he notified hospitality Saskatchewan on Friday morning ahead of the announcement of the changes.
“They were very, very excited that this would be going forward and that business owners as well, would have a have a bit of time to make sure that they were prepared to go back into in-room dining when that May 17 date came along,” Minister of Trade and Export Development Jeremy Harrison said.
Harrison said he expects to the reopening of restaurants to have a significant impact on employment in the city.
“I expect that we’re going to continue to see positive growth and employment going forward, that this isn’t just a one month thing,” Harrison said.
“Any ability for the sector to plan is appreciated by myself as somebody advocating for food and beverage, but we’re going to need to do more work to help this sector recover,” NDP Economy & Jobs Critic Aleana Young said.
TIME OUT
Who says cops don’t have a sense of humor? The following were taken off of actual police car videos around the United States.
“Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they’re new. They’ll stretch out after you wear them awhile.”
“Take your hands off the car, and I’ll make your birth certificate a worthless document.”
“If you run, you’ll only go to jail tired.”
“So you don’t know how fast you were going. I guess that means I can write anything I want on the ticket, huh?”
“Yes, Sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don’t think it will help. Oh … did I mention that I am the shift supervisor?”
“Warning! You want a warning? O.K., I’m warning you not to do that again or I’ll give you another ticket.”
“The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not. Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?”
“Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides, eat cotton candy, and step in monkey poop.”
“Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven.”
“No sir we don’t have quotas anymore. We used to have quotas but now we’re allowed to write as many tickets as we want.”
“I’m glad to hear the Chief of Police is a good personal friend of yours. At least you know someone who can post your bail.”
“You didn’t think we give pretty women tickets? You’re right, we don’t. Sign here.”
Cheryl is so excited your Bushwakker will resume limited capacity in-house dining on May 17th. She hasn’t worked the floor with her friend Donna in a Dog’s Age!
