BREWERY “HOPP”ENINGS! Bushwakker head brewer, Michael Gaetz, reports our seasonally available TREPHINATION IMPERIAL IPA , LEMON RASPBERRY ALE, CYCLONE BALREYWINE (keg is really low), BREW & GOLD DORTMUNTER EXPORT LAGER and GALAXY S.M.A.S.H. ALE (final keg getting low) are currently available. There are also batches of KAI’S MUNICH HELLES, DOUBLE HONEY RED ALE, 30th ANNIVERSARY BLACKBERRY MEAD and MORK’S MEAD (think waaaaaay back) currently working their way through the brewery.

Regina Mayor Sandra Masters recently stopped by to hear some of the current concerns facing YOUR Bushwakker associated with the Dewdney Avenue Revitalization Project. Subsequent meetings are to take place with some of her team members as well as a meeting of Regina Warehouse District businesses to brainstorm some creative solutions to the perceived transportation and parking challenges the area is currently experiencing. World Beer Awards 2024—Winners Announced!

The World Beer Awards is excited to announce that the winners list for 2024 has been revealed!
After two days of tasting excellent beer at The Great Hospital, a historic venue in Norwich, our judges have made their final decisions on which entries deserved the titles of Style Winner and World’s Best.
The World Beer Awards seeks to commend the very best in the world beer industry. This year’s style winners include Tongerlo Brown for Best Belgian Style Dubbel, Boschdal Quadrupel for Best Altbier and Spring Valley Daydream for Best Herb & Spice. Some of the World’s Best winners include Vocation Crush Hour for World’s Best Pale Beer, 1906 Black Coupage for World’s Best Lager and Dragon Premium Dark Beer for World’s Best Dark Beer.
Pete Brown, global chair of judges, offered a personal message to the winners and entrants of this year’s awards: “For the brewers who entered beers into the competition, I’d just like to say thank you! There are a lot of these competitions around the world, this is my personal favourite one – it’s a really great competition to judge and it obviously wouldn’t be that if we didn’t get really good beers being entered. I know people could have chosen to enter a different competition, I’m just very grateful they entered this one!”
Anita Ujszaszi, awards director for the World Beer Awards, added: “The turnout this year has been phenomenal. The passion for great beer is clearly alive and well in the global industry—the last two days at The World Beer Awards have been a clear testament to that. We’ve had beer from dozens of countries and a diverse range within each award category. It’s impossible to imagine how much hard work every brewer has put into their final product but the kind words and detailed feedback from the judges speaks volumes! Thank you so much again to everyone involved.”

TIME OUT – Special Delivery
A number of years ago in a small Saskatchewan town an eight-year old boy was very excited when the Sears catalogue arrived at his home. An old gentleman asked him if he saw anything he liked.
The little boy replied, ”Yes, look at all these beautiful ladies…and they seem to be selling at a good price!” The old fellow winked at the boy and said, “Maybe you should order one?”
A week or so later he saw the young boy again and asked if he had received his order from Sears. The boy said, “Not yet but must be soon, I got her clothes yesterday!”
