This month’s lecture is an early one and will be presented by Dr. Affan Shoukat, SGI assistant professor, department of mathematics and statistics at the University of Regina. Dr. Shoukat will present historical journey that got us to ChatGPT today, how it works (but avoiding all technical math), and then a brief discussion on the challenges of AI on human society, where it’s headed, how it can help us but how it can also be of danger.
