POWERHOUSE PORTER RELEASE
Late Bushwakker founder and president, Bev Robertson, played a key role in bringing the Saskatchewan Science Centre to fruition 35 years ago. To celebrate this anniversary, Bev’s grandson and Bushwakker head brewer, Michael Gaetz, created a commemorative beer that would have made his grandfather smile. The beer that launched The Bushwakker was Bev’s 1986 national award-winning Palliser Porter. Bev was also a single malt scotch enthusiast. But what single malt could possibly be powerful enough to not be overwhelmed by the assertive roasty flavours of a robust porter? The answer is almost two and a half litres of Laphroaig 10 year old single malt scotch whisky infused with French oak. POWERHOUSE PORTER will be released in limited edition bottles on Saturday, September 21st at 11:00 AM sharp. Fun fact – The Science Centre is located in the old Wascana Centre Power Plant building.
